Shipping & Refund Policy

This Shipping & Refund Policy explains how Indian Food Cartel and its brands (including Biryani Ji and Yo Chang) deliver your order, and how cancellations, refunds and replacements are handled. Because our food is freshly prepared to order, please read the cancellation and refund sections carefully.
1. How ordering and delivery work
Orders are placed through our WhatsApp cart and confirmed by us on WhatsApp (+91 82184 02498). Payment is made on delivery by cash or UPI — we do not take online payments on this website. Every order is freshly cooked to order and delivered by our own or partnered delivery personnel.
2. Delivery areas
We currently deliver within serviceable areas of Dehradun. If your delivery location is outside our current radius, we will let you know when you place your order so that no charge is made.
3. Delivery time
As each order is prepared fresh, delivery typically takes around 45–60 minutes from confirmation, depending on your distance from the kitchen, order size, kitchen load, weather and traffic. These are estimates and not guarantees; we will keep you updated on WhatsApp if there is a delay.
4. Delivery charges
Any applicable delivery fee is communicated to you on WhatsApp at the time we confirm your order, before you pay. There are no hidden charges.
5. Cancellations
You may cancel your order by messaging us on WhatsApp before we begin preparing it. Once preparation has started, the order cannot be cancelled, because the food is freshly made to order. We may cancel an order at any time — for example if an item is unavailable, your address is not serviceable, we suspect fraud, or no one is available to receive the delivery — and in such cases you will not be charged.
6. Refunds and replacements
Because payment is made on delivery, prepaid refunds usually do not arise. If for any reason you paid in advance (for example by UPI) and we cancel the order, we will refund the full amount to your original payment method within 5–7 business days.
If your order is incorrect, has missing items, arrives damaged, or is of unacceptable quality, please contact us on WhatsApp within 2 hours of delivery with your order details and clear photos.
- After we verify the issue, we will offer a suitable resolution — a replacement of the affected items, or a refund or credit for those items.
- We may be unable to accept a complaint where the food has been fully or substantially consumed, or where it is reported after the 2-hour window, except at our discretion.
7. Situations that are not eligible for a refund
- Change of mind after preparation of the order has begun.
- Incorrect delivery details provided by you, or no one available to receive the order at the given address.
- Personal taste preferences where the food meets our quality and description standards.
8. Raising a concern or grievance
To report a problem or raise a grievance, message us on WhatsApp at +91 82184 02498 or email indianfoodcartel@gmail.com. We aim to acknowledge your concern promptly and resolve it fairly and as quickly as possible.
